We enable performance improvement professionals to apply human performance technology by promoting education and providing networking opportunities.
Our Purpose Members of the Kansas City Chapter of ISPI are committed to improving human performance by advancing the art and science of performance and instructional technology. We are also dedicated to bringing new knowledge and ideas to the performance arena. This is accomplished by promoting the application of methods that produce a positive impact on performance, and by providing professional development activities.
Our Services
As a local ISPI Chapter, the Kansas City Chapter provides the following services to its members: - Regular meetings with presentations by professionals in performance and instructional technologies or related fields.
- Publication of a regular newsletter for communication and dissemination of information.
- A directory of members to foster the exchange of information.
- Special activities to enhance the state of the art and science of performance and instructional technologies.
- Networking opportunities.
Our Goals The stated goals of the Kansas City Chapter of ISPI directly support the goals of the ISPI organization at all levels. Many of our local Chapter members are active at the national and international levels of the organization in addition to the contribution they make in our local Chapter. The goals of the Kansas City Chapter are
captured in our Strategic Plan and designed to: - Promote the professional development of its members in the technology of performance instruction.
- Build on and expand the existing resource and services in performance and instructional technologies in the local business, industry, government and academia.
- Exchange information about improving human performance and instruction.
- Encourage the application and evaluation of performance and instructional technologies for human learning.
- Provide assistance and guidance on performance and instruction to others.
- Recognize the outstanding contributions by members in the technology of performance improvement and to the Chapter.
