KC-ISPI Strategic Plan

It was agreed upon by our membership that the Strategic Plan is viewed as a 3 - 5 year document.  However, each year it should be updated mainly in the Micro Goal level.  With some modification in Macro level when program enhancement are necessary.  The Mega Goal level should be a stable expression of our vision and mission.

Mega Goal 1.0 Create an environment for improving quality and competency in the personal, social & professional lives our membership to affect the business community.
     
Macro Goal 1.1 Provide successful career development opportunities to the membership.
     
Micro Goal 1.1.1 Gain support for HPT instruction that result in useful competencies.
  1.1.2 Gather and distribute valid and useful information and research for use by chapter members that enable them to make successful decisions that result in value-added for internal and external clients.
  1.1.3 Develop a meeting program to that successfully distributes and provides valid information about job competencies specific to HPT and Instructional Design that results in employment and successful practice.
  1.1.4 Establish a relationship with local libraries to store our information in a form that is timely and useful.
  1.1.5 Create an application or role playing session that changes and produces useful skills, knowledge, attitudes, and abilities.
  1.1.6 Design and develop a succession plan that results in the measurable continuous improvement of the Chapter and its contributions.
  1.1.7 Design and develop small group activities to develop peer relationships and HPT skills.
  1.1.8 Establish a reporting mechanism for professional development activities.
     
Macro Goal 1.2 Demonstrate the benefits of HPT to community, businesses & organizations resulting in value to these organizations.
     
Micro Goal 1.2.1 Hold three information meetings a year that results in attendees adding measurable value to their internal and external clients.
  1.2.2 Successfully publicize our HPT information through local new media that results in increased attendance and client satisfaction.
     
Macro Goal 1.3 Provide leadership opportunities for our members that result in their success when they apply what has been mastered.
     
Micro Goal 1.3.1 Formalize and successfully implement a mentoring program for new board members that results in their competence.
  1.3.2 Successfully delegate appropriate board responsibility to the membership that results in value added for internal and external clients.
  1.3.3 Develop a formal assimilation system of coach leaders of 3-4 new members that results in their increased competence and success.
     
Mega Goal 2.0 Discover, create & establish useful links between KC ISPI and our community of schools, agencies, organizations, families & companies that result in internal and external value added.
     
Macro Goal 2.1 Build relationships with leaders in both business & educational organizations where we influence Human Performance Technology (HPT) skills and add internal and external value.
     
Micro Goal 2.1.1 Establish relations with organizations to “qualify” us in teaching teachers Human Performance Technology.
  2.1.2 Support programs establishing Human Performance Technology (HPT) products, outputs, and outcomes.
  2.1.3 Provide subject matter that promote the benefits of Human Performance Technology (HPT) in organizations.
  2.1.4 Have Human Performance Technology (HPT) applications adopted, used, and applied successfully by organizations.
     
Macro Goal 2.2 Be an innovative, interactive, and reliable resource center for Human Performance Technology (HPT) that adds value to all who use our resources.
     
Micro Goal 2.2.1 Plan and develop a database of ISPI members that serves as a resource for the community.
  2.2.2 Provide a conduit between the International Board and local organizations on issues of concern.
     
Macro Goal 2.3 Increase name recognition throughout the community to identify KC-ISPI with the benefits of Human Performance Technology (HPT).
     
Micro Goal 2.3.1 Participate in community events that contribute to the success of our clients.
  2.3.2 Create a speakers bureau of Human Performance Technologist (HPT) advocates to share HPT “success stories”.
  2.3.3 Provide members access to information they require to take examples of Human Performance Technology “success stories” into staff meetings with organizations.
     
Macro Goal 2.4 Develop corporate relationships that lead to gaining financial support for scholarships, professional programs and chapter projects that connect KC-ISPI with the community.
     
Micro Goal 2.4.1 Provide workshops in cooperation with sponsors that showcase the benefits of Human Performance Technology (HPT).
  2.4.2 Develop an Action Plan Template to fund Human Performance Technology (HPT) related education opportunities.
  2.4.3 Develop a plan of action to meet with corporate leaders that results in adoption of HPT and its successful application.
     
Mega Goal 3.0 Engage in activities that impact the evolution of  HPT theory, models and application.
     
Macro Goal 3.1 Provide a forum for discussion of new HPT theory, models, and applications.
     
Micro Goal 3.1.1 Set up 1-2 research projects that are tracked on our home page where members participate in collection, evaluation, & conclusion and successful contribution.
  3.1.2 Publish the results of HPT projects from the community in the Journal or present at the International Conference that are useful and successfully used by members.
     
Macro Goal 3.2 Assist members in authoring articles, books, or series of publications about HPT applications.
     
Micro Goal 3.2.1 Establish a member to member mentoring process that increases the competencies of both mentors and mentoree.
  3.2.2 Present skills on how to author technical materials at a chapter meeting that are successfully applied by those attending.
  3.2.3 Provide support to others that results in their materials being published and/or promote their valid ideas.
     
Macro Goal 3.3 Maintain and distribute current information about the HPT evolution for the membership while expanding and contributing to a global community. . .that adds value to all.
     
Micro Goal 3.3.1 Provide valid and useful HPT information to our members through meetings, written & electronic communication that results in their adding value to their clients.
  3.3.2 Publish KC-ISPI anecdotes for distribution in the business community that adds value to users.

Þ      Essentially, the Mega Goals are a reflection of the vision and mission of our KC-ISPI Chapter

Þ      The Macro Goals are an expression of our organization and how we connect with the Chapter.

Þ     And the Micro Goals are activities, which help us, realize our connection to the Chapter and our personal & professional development
