The candidate must have several years of experience selling and training in a business-to-business environment, preferably selling an intangible in a consultative sales style.  The Sales Trainer will onboard new-hires, conduct classroom training, provide side-by-side coaching, and will be responsible for providing guidance and feedback.   The Sales Trainer works closely with the recruiter and Sales Managers to ramp up the new Sales Reps effectively and quickly so they can sell at the expected performance level. The individual must be driven, organized, highly articulate and have had substantial success selling and training adult learners. They manage the day-to-day activities associated with the analysis, design, development, delivery, and evaluation of training and/or multimedia services. Training and Development Managers provide direction and expertise to their staff in any phase of the training or project development life cycle. They develop and deliver training. Training and Development Managers evaluate the overall effectiveness of training programs and/or multimedia solutions and consulting efforts and implement changes as needed. Staff responsibilities include, but are not limited to, evaluating, prioritizing, and scheduling projects; allocating resources; delegating work; conducting performance reviews; addressing disciplinary actions; career planning; and hiring staff. Training and Development Managers provide input for the departments budget. They develop and implement goals, standards, and policies, ensuring alignment with company goals. They provide input into long-term planning. Training and Development Managers possess wide-ranging, in-depth knowledge of training and/or multimedia services and/or products, as well as knowledge of customers business and business processes. Training and Development Managers perform and lead consulting efforts with customers, particularly on projects that involve multiple divisions, have a high degree of customer involvement, or have high customer or organizational visibility.
